Moscow is the largest and, as many consider, the most beautiful city in Russia. Here the city’s modern business tempo perfectly complements the ringing of ancient church bells and quiet courtyards. It is difficult to name all the things that the one should pay attention to while visiting Moscow. We recommend to start with a walk along Zamoskvorechye, and continue along the Kremlin embankment to the Large Stone Bridge where you will be alble to have a spectacular view on Kremlin and Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. If you have time, it is well worth taking a trip to Sparrow Hills where you will have a panaramic view of the whole city. There are also a lot of beautiful parks in Moscow, where in summer time you can take a walk and enjoy a beauty of a nature.
Despite the fact that the city is huge, with an area of over 10000 square kilometers and a population exceeding 10 million, one can get around the city quite quickly and easily thanks to the excellent public transportation system. On week days we recommend to travel by metro, which is famous all over the world, and on weekends, with no threat of being stuck in traffic jams, you can take a ride in the car.
Moscow’s climate is moderately continental: severe cold and scorching heat are quite rare here, but they happen frequently. The average annual temperature is +6.0° C. The ideal time to visit the capital of Russia is middle of May, when the lilac is blooming. This time the sun goes down quite late and an evening walk can become a pleasant time spending.
As places for leasure and recreation time we recommend you to visit a restaurant at our hotel called “Aykhal”. It is one of a few paleces that offers dishes from Russian North
As for the theatres we recommend you to visit Bolshoy and Maliy theaters, “Sovremennik” and Chekhov Theater. If you are interested in fine arts, it is worth to visit Pushkin museum and Tretyakov Gallery, where you will find copies of the world known masterpieces and works of russian artists. Best place to enjoy the classical music is Chaikovsky Concervatory, but if you are more of a jazz lover you should go to Moscow house of music, where you can enjoy the concerts of modern and jazz performers.
